Is NoteQuiz really free?
Yes. It's in beta and there is no paid plan or checkout. The only limits are cost controls: 3 quiz generations per day and up to 10 questions per quiz.
What kind of notes work best?
One page per photo, flat and well lit, with the writing filling the frame. PDFs exported from a notes app work even better. JPG, PNG, WebP and PDF are supported, up to 10 MB per file and 12 MB per quiz.
What if the AI misreads my handwriting?
It happens. Every quiz has an edit screen where you can fix the question, swap options, change the correct answer, or delete a bad question before you practise.
What happens to my uploaded notes?
They're uploaded to private storage, sent to Google's Gemini API to build the quiz, and then deleted immediately — unless you tick “Keep my uploads”. See the Privacy Policy for details.
Can I share a quiz with a classmate?
Yes. Flip on the share switch on the quiz page and send the read-only link. They can practise and see explanations; your dashboard and scores stay private.
Does it work on my phone?
Yes. The whole app is built mobile-first, and the upload screen opens your camera directly so you can photograph notes without leaving the page.
